Sapho is an author of dark fantasy who finds no greater happiness than to escape into another world or three. Since before she can remember, she has been writing stories and poetry inspired by both life events and fictional events from her favourite books growing up, giving her license to let her imagination run free (and a little wild). Drawing on themes and ideals important to her, she also writes to convey messages that the world needs to hear.

Her first novel was published in 2018 and became the first in the Esilence series: The Legend of the Sorpha. The book was written largely during her break times and into the small hours of the night shift when she worked as a Biomedical Scientist in the UK. She found no better way to enjoy a quiet shift in the lab.

Born and raised in England, Sapho now lives in New Zealand where she finds her greatest inspiration in nature. When she is not scribbling down her next ideas, she enjoys spending time in her garden, forest walks, baking, dancing like no one’s watching and rescuing birds that fall down her chimney.
